Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer born in Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first album she released on the label on October 21 2016 titled Pho where she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May of 2019. Ari Lennox has been uploading her music since 2012 with her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her own single Bound and her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. On 21st of July 2015. Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes song"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Later in the calendar, her songs was played around Dreamville. On the 8th of December, it was announced that she was officially signed by Dreamville Records. The release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. In October of 2016 she dropped her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track and also opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she went on to appear on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. The music video then released in September. Her second single Grampa on November 9. In November 2013 she released No One, and Pedigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole on The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16, and then made the track available in a solo version for her first album. A music video debuted on 20 February 2019 in conjunction with the song. Within a time, it was viewed more than 3 million views. As a supporting act She toured together with 6LACK in December of 2018 for their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
